Embossed business cards are business cards with a raised design or lettering. Different inks are used in the process where the paper is pushed up from the back. Blind embossed is when no ink is used. Pressure is put on the ink and paper and when pressed in the printing machine, the image is raised when the metal design plate is pressed into the paper. You can also emboss with ink and foil seal.

There is also the option of foil embossing, where the colored foil is transposed onto the raised part of your card giving it a metallic effect.
